About the Xi'an MA60
Land-based air tanker
It loads water or retardant on the ground and attacks from a runway base. It can knock down flames with water or lay a retardant line ahead of the fire to slow its spread and support crews on the ground.
What this type can do
The firefighting MA60 carries up to 6,000 kilograms of water in a ground-refilled tank. Its twin-turboprop speed and range suit distant fires, while its modular cabin can also support monitoring, command, personnel, and cargo missions.
This describes the type’s usual firefighting capability; it does not prove what this aircraft is carrying or doing now.

The Xi'an MA60 is a turboprop-powered airliner produced by China's Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The MA60 is a stretched version of the Xi'an Y7-200A, which was produced based on the An-24 to operate in rugged conditions with limited ground support and has short take-off and landing (STOL) capability.
