Publish a useful, traceable answer proportionate to the evidence
Editorial content explains data visible in Fire Maps. It does not seek to replace operational doctrine or comment on an active incident without a source.

Source hierarchy
Primary sources are preferred: civil-protection bodies, weather agencies, satellite operators, aviation authorities, official technical documents and original scientific publications. A secondary source can guide research but should not carry an operational claim alone.
Each article lists sources a reader can open. A link is not decoration: it should support the associated passage and remain distinct from an image credit.
Strength of wording and uncertainty
The verb follows the method: a sensor “detects,” a model “projects,” a track “suggests,” and an authority “orders” or “publishes.” Absolute wording is avoided when coverage, resolution or delay prevents an absolute conclusion.
Important exceptions sit near the short answer. Specialist night capability, for example, should not be hidden after a general statement about flights stopping.
Dates and updates
Publication date marks when content entered the site; revision date changes when a source, explanation or factual conclusion changes. A typographic correction does not need to imitate a new event.
Live data follows its own acquisition and validity times. A page’s editorial date never replaces the layer time.
Images and attribution
Images illustrate a condition or aircraft; without context they do not prove a particular mission. A representative image is named as such.
Works stored locally have a free license or are explicitly public domain. Creator, license, license link and source page are preserved. Spotting photographs without reuse permission are not copied.
Corrections
Anyone can report an error to contact@josedacosta.info. A useful message includes the URL, passage, proposed correction and a verifiable source.
A confirmed correction is applied in both languages, with a revision date when substance changes. A request does not remove correctly sourced information merely because it is unfavorable.
